Bullington Gardens is open Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm from November 1st -March 31st. Beginning April 1st through October 31st, we are open Monday-Saturday, 9am-4pm.

No. Bullington Gardens is a partnership of the North Carolina Cooperative Extension & Henderson County Public Schools. We operate on grants, donations and with the generous help of community members like you! Donations are accepted gratefully. We do have a suggested donation amount of $3.00/adult and $2.00/child. Groups of 10 or more, the suggested donation is $5.00/per person.

Yes. We have a dog station on property. Please keep pets leashed at all times and clean up after your pet.

The Fairy Trail, Village and Book Nook are open seasonally. June 1st through August 31st. Reservations are not necessary. Please check in at the greeting tent before entering the trail. The Wings of Friendship Story Walk is open September through May.

We offer several ways to donate. You can become a member. Your annual membership helps support our educational programs for children and adults of all ages and abilities. Members also receive 10% off all plant sales with exclusive early access to our plant sales, up to 25% off all classes and programs and access to our quarterly newsletter, The Bullington Board.
You may also make a one-time donation. The generous support of visitors like you is what helps us grow our educational and Horticultural programs.
You may choose to make a recurring donation in any amount you choose.

Yes. We have a variety of knowledgeable teachers, master gardeners and volunteers leading tours. Our current tour schedule is open on Wednesdays from 10:00am-1:00pm. Please call us at 828-698-6104 to schedule your tour or email us your request.

Yes. We have several options for your event. We rent our beautiful Pavilion in three hours increments. The Hicks Room is available to rent for classes, events, and groups. The entire property is also available for weddings and larger events. Please review our venue options here.

Bullington Gardens seeks to provide accessibility for all visitors. The Therapy Garden, Perennial Garden and Pollinator Garden are paved for easier access. We also have two off-road wheelchairs for use on a first come, first served basis. We remain committed to providing even more accessibility in the future.

Yes! Our Garden Shop is open June through September. Stop by for carefully curated garden gifts, exclusive Fairy Trail merchandise and a lovely selection of plants.
