Discover the Secrets of the Winter Woods! Winter Tree & Shrub Identification Workshop

  • Bullington Gardens, Inc. 95 Upper Red Oak Trail Hendersonville, NC, 28792 United States (map)

Join us at Bullington Gardens for a fascinating winter workshop led by our knowledgeable Education Coordinator, Isaac Wyatt. Even when the leaves are gone, nature still has stories to tell — and you’ll learn how to read them!

In this hands-on class, you’ll uncover the art of identifying native trees and shrubs using bark patterns, branch structure, buds, and other subtle clues found only in the winter months. It’s the perfect opportunity to deepen your understanding of our local ecosystem — no leaves required!

We’ll spend part of the session outdoors (weather permitting), so be sure to bundle up and wear appropriate shoes. Whether you're a budding naturalist or a seasoned plant enthusiast, this class offers something for everyone.

Don’t miss this unique winter adventure at Bullington Gardens — where learning grows all year long!

January 12th, 2026, 1:00-3:00pm. With Education Coordinator Isaac Wyatt.
